These reclaimed industrial pneumatic electric lights with caged bulbs and heavy cast iron holders were made John Davies & Son. Davis of Derby was a renowned and respected industrial lighting manufacturer, and was known for making mining lights in particular, pioneering the use of electricity in the mines and bringing about great improvements to safety in the mining industry worldwide. These lamps are very heavy and weathered with the cages having surface rust throughout. They are statement pieces and could be used in a variety of ways. The lights handles are fastened to the lights with wing nuts and have a sturdy hooks to hang them.
