Factors to consider when choosing the right type of light for a project include fitting the style of light to the style of architecture. A retro polished theatre light may look fab in a London studio, but it will look out of place in a elegant Georgian drawing room. A fine pair of French Ormolu wall lights would probably look out of place in a late 20th Century house. The scale of the lights must match the scale of the architecture, it goes without saying that high ceilings require larger lights to keep the scale. In low ceiling rooms, it is often better to opt for wall lights or floor/table lamps.
