Parquet

Parquet flooring is a highly decorative ‘mosaic’ style of flooring which can be admired in many Victorian hallways around Britain.  Parquet flooring dates back to the 17th Century and is typically made from wood species such as oak, walnut, cherry, maple and pine.  Parquetry tends to have geometrical and angular patterns, the classic herringbone pattern being the most common.
