Salvaged ornamental brass fire fender / surround with decorative bow and wreath embellishments. The fender features bars to the top, potentially designed to rest hot pokers on to preserve the hearth. A sweet, elegant piece with a lovely patina. The internal measurements are 122.3cm(w) x 30.5cm(d).
There is one screw end / cap missing from the left hand upright (see photographs) and a finial from the left hand side of the base which is present but needs refitting.
