These planks have been sawn from larger antique oak beams. Boards are then finished with an attractive 'caramel' colouring and wax which adds warmth and accentuates the natural graining. Stock changes but various widths are usually available from 12 to 18.5cm. Thickness is 1.7cm, length varies from 70 to 200cm. There will be some open knot holes, cracks and splits (some may need to be filled depending on use), nail marks, old worm holes and other features consistent with a reclaimed product. Customers should seek advice from their fitters that the wood is suitable for purpose.
