A great find for a railwayana enthusiast, these two medium and large steam engine or similar pressure gauges are made by John Thompson and Hopkinson respectively. The John Thompson one is made in brass, including the back plate, and has a glass front. The Hopkinson gauge is also made in brass with a glass face, but has a black metal back plate. Both appear to be in sound condition, and the Hopkinson one has an area of slight discolouring to the white face.
The John Thompson gauge has a face diameter of 20cm, is 26cm high overall including screw and 5cm deep. Price £150
The Hopkinson gauge has a face diameter of 27cm, is 33cm high overall including screw and 6.5cm deep. Price £200.
