A most impressive vintage cast iron tazza shaped urn, both in size and design. The handles take the form of a vine stem trailing towards a foliate motif under the rim, and lion faces feature to centre front and rear of the bowl. A bearded face crowned with leaves, perhaps a tree man or satyr, appears four times in the design. The bowl rim and fluted socle both have egg and dart detailing. The pedestal features a ribbon wreath to each face. The urn has a beautiful patina from age, with rust, chipped paint, as well as several minor cracks and dings.
