An early armorial lion with a heraldic shield in a Renaissance style. It is possibly Italian and from the 17th Century or even earlier. It does have a flat top to its head, so probably originally had something mounted on the top. Lovely weathering certainly adds to its character. The overall measurements of the lion are listed below. Stone plinth is not included in the sale.
