An antique tall and impressive carved wood angel from a mould maker's factory in France. The angel is 19th Century and beautifully, as well as intricately carved, especially around the hair and wings. The angel was probably originally the base of a mound for plaster copies. There are some knocks, splits and nibbles, as can only be expected with the age of the piece and how it has been used. The measurements listed below are overall. The body width is 44cm and the body depth is 32cm.
