Impressive pair of antique lead vases. The design of these urns is based on the ancient Greek basalt Sosibios vase now in the Louvre which Keats sketched and went on to write ‘An ode to a Grecian urn’ decorated with procession of greek figures. The base has been repaired on one urn and one of the finials replaced, the socle has been reinforced.
