Most of the two panel doors we have for sale, date back to the Georgian period. It was the style that came between the plank door and the four and six panel doors mostly associated with the Georgian era. These tend to be quite delicate doors and are generally on the short size, as people were much shorter in those days, and ceiling heights were low. The panels are usually but not always raised and fielded. We sometimes find unusual examples that are six panel n one side of the door and two panel on the reverse side. The earliest 18th Century two panel doors were commonly made from oak or elm. These doors are a must for authentic restoration of late medieval, early Georgian homes.
We have the biggest stock of this type of door that you will find on the internet.
