Hand carved terracotta brick block 'works entrance' plaque reclaimed from the late 19th Century Excelsior Works factory, founded by Thomas Williams Lench in Blackheath, Rowley Regis. We have a 'girls' hall' decorated plaque from the same factory available here, plus some additional plain blocks. Crack through one block plus small chips to edges and remnants of old mortar.
