This charming naively painted iron/tin trunk from Afghanistan was bought from the bazaar in Kabul in 1972 and brought to the UK overland in an old Morris ex-Post Office van. How's that for provenance? It is made from re-used sheet metal scraps and appears to be painted with red oxide to prevent rust. A unique item for sure!
