Vintage enamel double sided sign advertising Chlorodyne with a National Insurance Chemist notice on the other side. Chlorodyne was invented by Dr J Collis Browne, a doctor in the British Indian army in the C18th as a very effective treatment for Cholera. The sign dates from the 1920's and is well weathered, with rust and nibbing to the edges, particulary around the screw holes, as is to be expected with an item of this age.
