A stunningly intricate religious petit point tapestry, sewn and painted onto silk, mounted in a bronze painted wooden frame. The tapestry depicts what we believe to be Rebecca at the well and the black and gilt border surrounding the tapestry features the initials 'M.A.H.'. The dimensions listed on the main page include to the frame, the tapestry itself measures approximately 36cm(w) x 44cm(h).
In need of some modification - the frame is chipped and has some flaking paint. The tapestry itself is in good condition but there are rips to the top half of the silk and the border is also flaking in places. With a new frame and a bit of care this piece could be restored to a beautiful display piece.
