Large antique wooden advertising sign with provenance. Dating back to the early 1900's, it hung over the entranceway to F I Morrison, a dairy farm on Church Road, Barnes, London SW13. F I Morrison is carved into the wood and the words Dairy Farmer and ornate scrollwork around them are raised up. Gilt paintwork with bluey green accents. Some splits to the wood, old nail holes and water marks. Lovely piece of historical memorabilia / advertising / display piece. Measurements given are the overall - the sign is in two sections, 259cm and 191cm long respectively. We also have a sign for the fishmongers from the same era and road, please see here.
