Unusual reclaimed hand painted panel from an antique Sicilian lemon cart. The painting depicts a battle scene and there is text including 'Colorito da Manfre Giuseppe' which could possibly refer to Giuseppe Manfré, whose artwork adorning carts can be seen in the Sicilian cart museum, more information available here. The width of the panel varies from 108cm at the bottom to 131cm at the top and there are several fixing holes present. Signs of wear commensurate with age.
