Cupboard from reclaimed Indian doors

Cupboard from reclaimed Indian doors

Striking cupboard made from salvaged antique Indian doors and hardwood. The doors are painted in a vibrant turquoise colour with gold highlights to the horizontal bars and a crackle effect.  The paint has been layered over brown and the flaking effect is very attractive.  There is a heavy chain at the top of the right hand door as well as a large key-hole half way down, and each door has an iron ring handle.  Inside, there are three sturdy shelves, and the cupboard could be a beautiful linen cupboard or larder cupboard - the possibilities are many.

The doors are extremely heavy and the cupboard will need to be secured to a wall to avoid it tipping forward when they are both open.
