Job lot of original wrought iron spike top double gates with five sections of matching railing. Reputedly from Villa Park, the home of Aston Villa Football Club. Traces of their claret and blue colours remain under the top layers of paint. The gates have diamond shaped uprights, arched support sections and are approximately 367cm wide overall (+ 6.5cm lugs) x 180cm max high x 5cm thick. The five sections of railing are all 174.6cm high x 5cm thick. Two sections are 255cm long, the other three are each 272.4cm, 257cm and 225.2cm long. The railings also have diamond shaped uprights with a gap between them of 10.8cm. Substantial and heavy, although there are some bends and damage throughout commensurate with age and use. Surface rust and flaky paint as shown in photos.
