Here at English Salvage we stock a wide range of reclaimed taps and showers in many different styles. The most prevalent style of taps are pillar taps, which have their own valves to control the flow of water. Filler and mixer taps were most popular for baths and kitchen sinks. Bath mixer taps with a hand held shower head were common in prosperous late Victorian and Edwardian houses. For the most part showers were located over baths, like many still today, and were mostly the result of a mixer tap with shower head unit, or part of a combination shower bath.
